Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE — NMIT

Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE (NMIT)

Just a five minute ride on a famous Melbourne tram from the city to the first of NMIT’s six large campuses.

NMIT is a large multi-campus, government-funded institution providing a broad range of degrees, diplomas and certificates across six campuses in the central and northern suburbs of Melbourne. Most students study at NMIT’s inner suburban campuses of Collingwood (five minutes from the city by tram) and Preston (ten minutes from the city by train). All other campuses are also readily accessible by tram, train or bus, and have the most modern facilities available with teachers that both work in the industry for the subjects they are teaching and who are passionate about their subject areas.

NMIT offers programs to more than 60,000 students including over 2000 international students from over 70 different countries.

In a global marketplace, NMIT graduates guarantee excellence for employers, enhancing business opportunities and allowing them to play a highly competitive role to meet the demands of that marketplace.
