With a degree from the University of South Australia you will work effectively in the field you have chosen. Support services
Support services are available to help you and your family settle into life in Adelaide. The university’s website contains useful information including adjusting to living in a new culture and schooling for dependent children. The State Government waives education tuition fees for dependents of international Higher Degree Research students who are on a scholarship organised by their home country government.
Information of particular interest to Muslim students includes advice on where to find halal products, mosques and cultural organisations is also available from the website.
A range of academic, social and personal support services is available to assist you throughout your program of study. Before you leave home through to your graduation day, support services can help you excel in your studies and make the most of your experiences in South Australia.
Campuses
With four campuses in the metropolitan area, one in the regional city of Whyalla and a centre in Mount Gambier, UniSA is South Australia’s largest university. All UniSA campuses are linked to a wireless computer network have their own cafes and uni shops, clubs and student areas set up to encourage group work and spaces for students to relax with friends.
Recent awards and achievements
- QS World University Rankings: UniSA was ranked 256 out of the world’s top universities. For the second year in a row, UniSA achieved the largest improvement of any Australian university. Overall, UniSA was ranked 11th among Australian universities.
- UniSA has started a $1 billion capital infrastructure project, including a $95 million learning centre for 15000 students in the heart of Adelaide’s west end
- 66 percent of our academic staff hold doctorates; in 2012 the University was in the top 10 in Australia on this measure
- In the past three years University of South Australia staff have been awarded 22 citations for outstanding contributions to student learning by the Australian Learning and Teaching Council
- We are engaged in more than 500 international research collaborations across 45 countries
