Campus Locations

Victoria University is located in Melbourne, the second largest city in Australia and a vibrant, multicultural and progressive cosmopolitan centre. We have nine campuses and sites across Melbourne’s western region and the Central Business District. Three in the heart of the city and another four within ten kilometres of the city.

Facilities

VU campuses are located across Melbourne's western suburbs and the city centre. We have purpose-built learning environments, the latest technology, state-of-the-art laboratories and equipment, a full range of sports and recreation facilities plus plenty of space to relax and enjoy campus life.

We’re proud to provide an environment in which our students thrive and achieve success. Many examples of this can be found throughout the VU community:

Tourism and Hospitality: Learning resources include training restaurants. 2010 will see the A$3.3 million refurbishment of The Terrace restaurant including a 100 seat restaurant and coffee bar.

Sport and Exercise Science: The courses blend theory with ‘hands on’ experience with VU students working with elite athletes from the Western Bulldogs Australian Rules football team.

Multimedia and Graphic Design: Our Flinders Street facility offers TAFE final year graphic design students the opportunity to experience the professional procedures and practices of an industry-based studio by allowing them to produce industry based jobs for both internal and external clients in a simulated work environment.

Health Sciences: VU runs a number of ‘live’ Health Sciences teaching clinics, that allow students to build their skills in a dynamic client environment. Services include Chinese herbal medicine, massage, nutritional therapy, dermal therapies and osteopathic medicine.

Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy: Hairdressing and beauty therapy students build their skills with clients through the ‘live’ Personal Services Teaching Clinic.

VU continues to invest in new facilities; approximately A$80 million in projects approved by VU’s Council are currently in design, construction or completed including a Learning Commons and Exercise and Sport Science Precinct at Footscray Park Campus and the best equipped fabrication workshop for engineering courses in Australia.

Student Services

Our diverse student body provides a strong foundation for internationalisation and a unique intercultural educational experience.
International students are supported by a pro-active International Student Support Team who understand the challenges that international students face. The team delivers pre-departure sessions, orientation and farewell programs, and coordinates a range of social activities. They work closely with organisations such as the Victoria Police, Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services Board (MFB) and Cricket Victoria to increase engagement between international students and the local community.
